Programs
This is a recreation 8u Coach pitch league that will play against other local WGYSL teams. There is no stealing bases, no leading off, no dropped third strike rule & the infield fly rule is NOT in effect. Bases will be set at 60’. This is an introduction to baseball/softball activity. Score will be kept. Coaches will make every effort to give players as much playing time as they can, but this can also depend on team sizes and the abilities of the player.
Note:
The recreation department will provide jerseys and hats. No metal cleats. Bats must be USA or USSSA certified. Evaluations will be held February18th. Coaches will then make contact with participants about team assignments & practice times after a draft takes place on February 20th. These dates are subject to change due to weather conditions or any other unforeseen events. Please remember if your child decides not to participate in these activities after jerseys have been ordered, NO REFUND will be given.
