Bowdon Recreation Department Gymnastics Center Information

 

 

Ninja: Ages 5 and Up for Boys and Girls:  A 1 hour class designed to develop  strength, flexibility and endurance. Will participate on the bars as well as obstacle courses and challenges.

Tiny Tot Class:  (2 & 3 year old) A 30 minute class designed for the child to learn gross motor skills, listening skills, and basic gymnastics skills.

Kindergym: (4 & 5 yr. old) A 1 hour class designed to focus on the fundamentals of gymnastics including skills on the floor exercise, balance beam, vault, uneven bars, and trampolines.

Gymnsatics Class: (6 years old & up) A 1 hour class designed for beginners that want to learn the fundamentals of gymnastics to progress to more intermediate skill levels.

Homeschool Class: For all ages boys and girls for homeschooling families.  A 1 hour gymnastics class.

Homeschool Open Play:  1 hour of free play in the gym for homeschool families

Baton: 1 hour class for all ages that want to learn the basic skills of twirling a baton. 

 

 

Pre-Tumble/ Beginner cheer:  Basic cheerleading and tumbling.  Sign up or this class if you want to learn to tumble but do not have a cartwheel just yet!

Beginner Tumbling: A 1 hour class designed for children that know the basic tumbling skill and want to learn more advanced skills. (Must have cartwheel)

Intermediate Tumbling: A 1 hour class designed for children that know the basic tumbling skill and want to learn more advanced skills. (Must have round off and a back bend with straight arms)

Advanced Tumbling: Must be able to backhand spring to register for this class.
